BREADBOX

The BREADBOX is a proposed storage container for a studio space at Auburn University College of Architecture, Design and Construction. The container highlights a design philosophy of separation in size of storage items. The container is also meant to be housed under the studio tables and be mobile for storing the container. Featuring three separate storage methods, BREADBOX utilizes a tambour door, large storage drawer, and a slide paper tray on the side. While being mobile with caster wheels, the tambour door allows for easy access into the top space for small items. The large storage drawer can open without having to be rolled out from under the table. Ideally, the container would be produced from AC pinewood and could be easily reproduced for maintenance.
