The Pavilions

The Montlimar Pavilions are a collective of structures that run along the Montlimar Creek in Mobile, Alabama. These pavilions provide amenities to the walking trail that shares the bank. Seating and temporary shelter offer excellent social space for walkers to stop and enjoy the space and converse with others. Additionally, the pavilions also displace flood levels on the creek bank. Having sedimentation build up on the sloping embankment, the arch barriers mitigate the risk of flooding and allow vegetation to grow on top of the sedimentation to further mitigate rising flood levels.

The pavilion design was created from a two-dimensional drawing that was curated using a parameter of rules to start and end the drawing.
